Who Am I As A Woman In Christ?

 

  • I am chosen by God

WE ARE MEMBERS OF GOD’S FAMILY

 

  • We are members of God’s family – Ephesians 2:19
  • Jesus Christ became one of us so that we can become one of God’s.
  • Just as new born baby comes with the genetic code of the family she/he was born into, we are spiritually born (born-again) in to Gods family and possess the spiritual ‘genetic code’ of God.
  • Therefore, all believers are secured in God with supernatural glue which cannot be separated.
  • To separate us from God’s family, one would have to:

 

  • Break the seal of the Holy Spirit – Ephesians 1:13-14
  • Open God the Father’s hand and snatch us from His hand – John 10:29
  • Snatch us from Jesus Christ – John 10:28
  • This can never happen because God has hidden us with Christ in Him – Colossians 3:3.

 

WE ARE JOINT-HEIRS WITH JESUS

 

When we are born again into God’s family, we become children of God, which makes us joint-heirs with Jesus – Romans 8:16-17. This means that:

 

  • We can have everything Christ has died to purchase for us
  • God hears us as He hears Christ – Hebrews 4:14-16
  • God loves us the way He loves Christ – Romans 8:39

 

WE ARE SONS OF GOD

 

Not only are we children of God, but we are sons of God, just as Jesus is the Son of God

 

  • Galatians 3:26 – 4:7
  • Romans 8:14-17

 

“For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!" The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.”

 

NOT BY GENDER

 

  • Our identity in Christ is not based on gender.
  • It is based on the finished work of the Cross
  • Therefore, both men and women have equal identity in Christ – Gal 3:26-29
